Who will inspect my vehicle?
All JEVIC inspectors are qualified mechanics and technicians. Because we employ Japanese staff this means they are well acquainted with Japanese export vehicles and requirements.
What if I don’t speak Japanese?
All JEVIC staff speaks fluent English so you will always get a reply to any queries that you can easily understand.
What does the process involve?

Why should I use JEVIC?

How long after I pay JEVIC does it take to receive a report or certificate?
There is generally a 2 or 3 day turn around from receiving funds to getting an inspection completed. This time frame can be longer in some instances depending on the location of the vehicle.
How do I know that my booking and payment for an inspection has been received by JEVIC?
An automated email gets sent to you as soon as you book the inspection. JEVIC will advise you by e-mail of the inspection date and completion of your inspection.
How long does a JEVIC Pre-Export Appraisal take to complete?
Our inspection takes approximately 45 minutes.
How long does a JEVIC Odometer Verification Inspection take to complete?
The inspection takes approximately 45 minutes.
How long does it take to get a Vehicle History Report?
Generally the Vehicle History Report is issued to you by courier within 48 hours from receiving your payment and booking.
How quickly can a Stolen Vehicle Report be issued?
The Stolen Vehicle Report certificate is issued to you by email within 24 hours from receiving your payment and booking.
What happens if my vehicle has a tampered odometer?
If the vehicle fails the JEVIC inspection process we issue you a report showing the evidence of tampering that has been noted during the inspection process.
If my vehicle fails an odometer inspection what should I do?
Should you wish to pursue a claim, contact the company who supplied you the vehicle and present a copy of the report to them. A number of countries do not allow the importation or re-sale of vehicles with known incorrect (tampered) odometer readings.
Can a digital odometer be tampered with?
Yes. Digital odometers are as susceptible to tampering as traditional analogue odometers. Whether the odometer is digital or analogue it is possible for the odometer to have been tampered with.
